Broadwater

The Broadwater on the Gold Coast stretches from Runaway Bay, Paradise Point, Labrador, south to Southport, about 3 minutes north of Surfers Paradise.

The Gold Coast Broadwater is renowned for its calm waters and white sandy beaches.

The Broadwater is popular for boating and offers a safe access to the ocean through The Spit and Gold Coast seaway.

Fishing is also very popular. There are many areas to fish from the shore or beach or you can hire small boats or charter deep sea fishing boats. Other water sports to be enjoyed along The Broadwater are: windsurfing, kite surfing, speed boating, jet skis and parasailing.

Why not spend a lazy Sunday on the Broadwater and visit Harley Park? Harley Park is truly one of the greatest parks on the Coast. Magical Broadwater views, a fantastic ship themed kids playground and heaps of shaded picnic tables make this a popular location for local residents.

Why not really kick back? Bring along a picnic rug and relax under the shady trees. There are two playgrounds, with the nautical themed ship playground to the south, and the climbing inspired playground with poles, ropes, ladders and a flying fox to the north. The kids will be kept happy with two very different play options!

No trip to the Broadwater is complete without a swim! The Ian Dipple Lagoon is even flood lit in the evenings! The sandy areas are perfect for building sandcastles and frolicking along the foreshore. For those keen fishermen, the area also provides access to a boat ramp and fishing spots.
